Project 3: Development

This story takes place on the planet of Trittonia.  A group of astronauts are traveling through space to reach the planet in order to explore the surface and discover the species of animals that live on it. After landing, their shuttle pod malfunctions and explodes, rendering their only escape off the planet utterly destroyed.  The surviving astronauts roam the surface of Trittonia, surviving the harsh wildlife and trying to find a way to make it back home.

I broke the story down into 5 different drawings I put onto the storyboard above.  I drew all of the pictures with multiple different line weights to show distance and the scale of Trittonia.  The first and second panels show the astronauts landing on the surface, then the third shows their shuttle exploding.  The setting I went for in the beginning and end was night, shown by the faint stars in the backgrounds, while the middle panels are in the daytime (with the lack of stars).  The last panel shows our new shuttle taking off back to Earth.
